L&D Unit (Labor and Delivery)

We perform all of our deliveries at Huntington Hospital. The Main Building contains the Labor and Delivery Unit, Postpartum (Maternity), the Newborn Nursery and the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery (NICU) on the same floor. Deliveries occur in LDR (Labor, Delivery and Recovery) rooms. In this room you may have your entire labor, a vaginal delivery and about a 1-2 hour recovery time all without changing beds.

Afterwards you transfer to the postpartum (Maternity) area, where nearly all rooms are private. There are also 3 operating rooms that can be used for either Cesarean birth or vaginal birth. Rooming-in with the baby is available in the maternity department.
